§ 54-48. Assisted collection service.

(a)

The contractor for each zone may provide assisted collection service to physically able residents. The fee for this service shall be negotiated between the contractor and the resident. The resident shall not be required to pay for this service unless they have agreed to do so in writing prior to this charge.

(b)

The contractor shall provide assisted collection service to those persons who have a medically determined disability and who do not have the aid of other persons to assist in placing their container in its proper location. If a resident is determined to satisfy the criteria established by the county solid waste management system rules and regulations for assisted collection service for the disabled, there shall be no fee charged for this service.
